Unexpected Turnovers

Unexpected Turnovers
Every parent wants the best for their child; don’t you? However, how does one distinguish his or her good friends? There are both good and bad friendships out there. The bad friendships don’t necessarily mean that the other child is a bad person. It simply indicated that their friendship is not going to edify your child. Will your child stay safe with this friendship? Will he/she grow spiritually? Will this friendship bring your child into problems? This is one more reason why it is important to discern in the spirit.

Issue Case A
There was a 9-year-old girl who had her group of friends and one day out of the blue, one of her friends asked her: “Do you know when our breasts will grow?” She began to touch sexual topics which the child was unaware of. It turned out, her friend was a lesbian and told her directly; “Well, I’m a lesbian and I like you. Will you be my girlfriend?” The 9-year-old was confused and asked her mother for guidance. Her mother was oh so shocked due to the age the child had. She expected a situation like this to occur at the age of 11 or 12. Therefore, she led her child to the scripture where it discussed God making a woman for a man and a man for a woman in the book of Genesis. Then she led the conversation about fornication in the book of Corinthians and other issues. The world is so messed up now. It can get oh so scary and its normal for kids to hold hands as they hang out. The issue is when these situations aboard, without God, there is no direction.

Issue Case B
There was an 11-year-old cheerleader who loved gymnastics and cheered herself through schooldays. However, through the first months of making friends, she began to receive mystery love notes until one day… her mystery confessed himself to her. It wasn’t a him; it was a her. It was an 11-year-old lesbian child who was ending her notes and secret gifts. After telling her it had been her all along, she wouldn’t leave the child alone. She followed her to class, stared at her throughout recess and PE. The cheerleader’s mom spoke to the principal to separate them, though she did, the child would find every opportunity she had to flirt with her. What could the mother do? Her child was being harassed by another girl.

Reflexion
It is extremely important for parents to not only educate but also stay in tact with whats going on in schools. For those who educate according to the scripture, it is important to use it for their values, morals and principles. If so, this will save into their soul and they will know what to do in future situations. God chose you to be a parent for a reason. Every child is a blessing~

    Hi

Thank you for sharing this post it is a real eye-opener and is so very true.

Unfortunately, parents don’t often explain the good and bad parts and they quite often expect the teachers or the school to pick the pieces where they should really be explaining about life.

The issue of the young girl who started by touching the other young girl had not been explained to about control and again that should be done in their own home life, we all investigate when we are young but showing so much affection to another young child is quite frightening, some things need to be explained clearly what you are allowed to do and what line should not be crossed

Hey Linda; this is a well-needed article that many of the parents need to get a hold of and read with understanding. We as people of God must preserve the morals and Godly principles as much as we can.

As we have entered into a time, where everything that is against Godliness is said to be right and is acceptable by the majority in society. All kinds of satanic spirits are wasted in the earth, which is working tirelessly to capture the hearts of the young generation.

This is a big reason why the Holy-Ghost men and women are NOW NEEDED to carry the church to the end. If not for the work of the Holy Ghost seducing spirits would no doubt deceive the hearts of every living young person?

I agree with the idea of learning to parent, in this modern world, with a Christian outlook.  Open and honest approach to subjects is really important even if the answers aren’t always understood, because the communication keeps things open for the next time and the next.  Thanks for this article.  It is very calming in the midst of a bombardment of circumstances and questions.

You are right on the fact that the world that we live in now is so messed up and we just have to prepare our children to be ready for it. I do believe that environment helps to curb the child into the direction that is safe for them. So good friends from the right family will influence your child to be a better person as we. However, it is up to the child as well. At the end of the day you just never know but at least you know that you done your part right. 🙂
