Prayer

Prayer is immensely important. It is the communication between you and GOD. Many people wonder what it is one needs to pray; how to pray, what words are needed to pray. However, it is not rocket science. Praying is no ritual or repetition. Those are just myths. Praying is having a conversation just as you would have with any other individual. It involves a topic, love, and faith .

  • Topic- a need (health)
  • Love- thankfulness (being alive)
  • Faith- having hope for the unseen; yet believing it is already achieved. (restoration)

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

Hebrew 11:1

    Hi Linda,

You’re absolutely right, prayer is very important as it is how we commune with God. Some say that you do not have to pray if you do not have anything to ask God. But this is where they’re wrong. Prayer is not just about asking God for a favor or blessing; it is talking to God about everything that we are feeling or going through, it could also be thanking God for His grace and blessings, as you cited in your examples of prayer.

By the way, have you read about the 5 Finger Prayer? Anyone who is not sure where to start when praying can use this guide.

I never thought about the structure of prayer but i appreciate you posting this as it makes sense.

Praying should come from the heart and you should say it in your own words. Love and gratitude should be involved in any prayer in my opinion as you normally are giving thanks for something and love because we tend to ask for our loved ones to be guided or helped.

    Great post

    Hi there,

Short and nice article! You are so right when you say that praying is important. From the moment I get up from my bed, I start to pray. And I am always grateful for what I have, it keeps me in a great mood for the entire day! I think everyone should pray at least once a day.

Thank you for this useful article!

Thank you for the short and sweet post. It says it all, there is no ritual or repetition to praying, just be you, be whoever you are, pray for what is on your mind at that moment, in that day.

I also love how you put it, that a prayer involves a topic, love, hope and faith. We have to be grateful for what we have, and the faith to know that things will get better, like difficult health situations, relationships, financial circumstances, etc.
