Prayer Warfare

If you read Daily Prayer, you have seen what a basic prayer looks like. One seeks, asks, waits and receives. However, a warfare prayer is different than any other prayer.

Warfare means war. Therefore, it’s a war through prayer; a spiritual war for that matter. Praying in faith with biblical scriptures such as the ones in the book of Psalms; declaring prosperity and rebuking unclean spirits. When praying, look into what is being said. Is the individual praying just thanking and asking? Or is the individual also declaring what belongs to him/her, rebuking what belongs to the enemy and taking back what is his/hers? When praying, one must be very specific and details count.

Save me, O God, by your name;
vindicate me by your might.
Hear my prayer, O God;
listen to the words of my mouth.
Arrogant foes are attacking me;
ruthless people are trying to kill me
people without regard for God.
Surely God is my help;
the Lord is the one who sustains me.
Let evil recoil on those who slander me;
in your faithfulness destroy them.
I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you;
I will praise your name, LORD, for it is good.
You have delivered me from all my troubles,
and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.
I rebuke all unclean spirits who have tried attacking me,
and they are sent to the Seoul.
I repent for my wrong doings and humble myself to your feet
I do not deserve your grace and mercy oh Lord
Thank you for being my rock and my Shepard.
Though I may not see a job yet, I declare have one.
I can do anything in Christ who gives me strength,
and everything happens in your timing oh Lord.
I will not be dismayed in you,
For greater is he who lives within me,
than he who lives in the world.

This prayer includes bible verses: Psalm 54, Psalm 18:2, Psalm 23:1, Isiah, 4:10 and 1 John 4:4
Notice that this prayer not only asks and thanks, but declares with authority what is yours. Also notice it repents and humbles. Always watch out with what you say as well as what is being said to you; because it is a deceleration.
What is said, is done. What is said, happens. Therefore, this is the type of prayer that should be done but unfortunately, its not.

    Prayer with warfare is the most powerful because it includes all aspects of life. We don’t only ask and receive; we ask, receive and secure what we have received. We take back what has been stolen from us. My father usually prays from Psalms and my late Aunt does that too. Prayer with warfare calls God attention for battle with all humility and at the end victory is ours.

    This is the kind of prayer we should continue with but it’s quite unfortunate that people are too lazy or are afraid of such prayers.

    Thank you for taking the time to share this kind of prayer with us. I confess that it is something new to me, but I liked it. When I don’t have too much time to pray, I say Lord have mercy on me. But this prayer (war) also tells you what is yours, which is quite interesting.

    Surely the Lord is the one that sustains us and reading this I feel like going on my knees. Someone once said you can read enough, you can fast enough , you can preach enough but you can never pray enough. I know prayer isn’t about statistic or how long you pray but I have realized that the longer I’m on my knees the more spiritual it all becomes and the more I feel my self over coming in this warfare. In this war David says: “By my God I have run through troops, there is so much we can also do by the same God in this warfare”. Thanks a lot I feel lifted.

    This is definitely a prayer with a different undertone, which I suppose is why you used the title prayer warfare. Even though I prayed the words, I could not in my mind wish evil on others, as I have been lucky and most people have treated me well and I have not had any altications of any kind, apart from the competitive kind in the business world and the odd small squabble.

    But I think these words do teach us to stand up for ourselves and what we believe in. I love the bible verses recommendations that you have included at the bottom of the post.

    People truly tends to confuse basic prayers with warfare prayers. A lot of folks at some point get the two mixed up together when praying. I think we have to be specific in our prayers. We should know when to thank, ask, and receive from God and when to get into prayer battle like casting and taking charge.

    The prayer sample you gave shows that this kind of prayer is a warfare prayer and not a basic one. We should always have this in mind.

    Someone once told me: a priest is God’s messenger. I believe you are this and the messages of God are on your website.
    God bless you.
