Ways to see God

The most highly reason why people don’t believe in God is because they do not see him face to face. Therefore, they do not take the time to know who his, where he lives and how to find him.

Who is God?
Godhead three in one                          Father = God
Son = Jesus Christ
Spirit = Holy Spirit

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

Mathew 5:8

Behold, HE is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.”

Revelations 1:7

Why can’t I see God?

You might not see him now but eventually will; whether you believe in him or not. However, you can see the Holy Spirit which is part of him.  Just the way your unique spirit is part of you.

But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

Acts 7:55-56

Where is God?

God is sitting in the throne known as “Heaven”. There are 3 skies. The blue one we humans see, the one where there are spiritual welfares and the third sky where he lives.

The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD’S throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.”

What is the holy spirit?

The Holy Spirit is God’s spirit. When Jesus was crucified, and rose on the third day, He left His spirit on earth. It belong each one of us. The only way to see it; is to seek it.

Ways one can see the Holy Spirit

One can see him through love

One can see him through dreams

One can see him through prayer

One can see him through visions

One can see him through faith

How do I find him?

We all go through life issues regardless of the age one has. There is no human on earth who has not encountered an issue in life. The easiest and fastest way to seek Him is by letting go of your problems and giving them to Him. Just Surrender.

Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

James 4:7

Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

1 Peter 5:7

This means to surrender all your issues to Him like when one randomly cries to the air and asks the air for help. The difference is:” The air is not God but the enemy.” Though one cannot see God, one feels Him and can see Him through many ways except in flesh. Read

It is very common to find people who don’t believe in God for the reason that they cannot see him. I find that totally absurd. God is spirit, and those who worship him must do so in spirit and truth. I know so many who don’t agree. But I try not to be judgmental, instead, I try to show them light by letting them know that regardless of not being able to see God face to face, they can still create a relationship with him. This is really good. Thank you for sharing.

I love how you leave it open for people to decide for themselves what they believe. I have always known that there is a God and I was raised Baptist. There are so many questions people have and I appreciate that your site allows them to question and comment how they feel without being judged.

Best of luck to you in your future with your website

Yes we can see God through every day life. Although he has never made himself known in a physical way to a single man, he has let his son Jesus come to earth and such a journey. I hope everyone reading can appreciate the Bibles message in the hope that God even has a specific name.

As a woman who has grown up in faith I can say that God is present in your life as much as you allow him to be. If you want to see him, there are many ways for him to show himself, but you have to be open and receptive. A heart open and a spirit of faith goes a long way. For myself, I see him most in love and the simple world around me.

I totally agree with you that most people do not believe in God because they cannot see him physically and as such, they believe He does not exist, but to be honest, God exists and He dwells among us all. We only need to seek him and forgo the things of the world because only the righteous at heart can see God. The holy spirit is our companion, lover, friend and day to day pal. Holy spirit is meant to guide us and protect is in the ways we should live so that we can be on the right path. Great post

Finding God is the purpose of life to me. To find him and know Him. Once you allow Him into your life – you will know true love. Things wont get easier necessarily but you will know grace, mercy and unconditional love.

Many tend to find God in the pain of life and that’s ok. God uses the bad for this purpose/His will. Through heartache and trials and tribulations, people tend to seek Him and those that surrender to Him will know his mercy and Grace and be able to then witness His glory to others. In this way, we spread the good news with our testimony. However, one test of faith is seeking Him in times of good as well as bad. To always be thank ful and grateful for what He has blessed you with and for the blessings to come. 🙂

    Hi Linda

This is a really nice collection of verses on how we see God. I believe the I see God everywhere, from the trees and wind to the faces of my sons.

Faith is a very difficult thing for humans to contend with. If we cannot see it with our human eyes, than it doesn’t exist. What I think many people miss is that you can know something exists by the effect it has on other things. Like wind, you may not physically see it, but you can see the trees bending in it. Forces like gravity are another example.

God’s forces may not be directly visible, but we should try to be more aware of how He effects us and manifests in the results.

My mother always reminds to always ask and always give for those that do shall receive as written in the holy book but I have to admit, I’ve been ignorant of that due to the various personalities I have to adopt in my line of work. I think it’s because of today’s influence that I began distancing myself from God and partly because I do not see what he has given us. Thank you for the relieving reminder my friend, we need to always rely on God regardless of what situation we’re in.

I was just talking to a co-worker this morning about different miracles that have happened in our lives. People can say what they want about it being a coincident but some of the miracles were physical miracles where someone should have died or had bones crushed, and not just broken

These are amazing things where we can see God if we have the honesty to admit that something beyond our control kept something horrible from happening to us or someone we know.

I am of the opinion that anyone can see God but first must read the bible fervently, and stay fervent. This is a very sensitive post because this is the reason which many people say that they cannot be religious because they cannot see God. Tbis is a very nicely written post and I think I too must be filled with the holy spirit

I have to share this with friends.

  11. Peter says:

I am somewhat confused as to why the air is the enemy? When people do cry to the air for help, do you not think they are looking to one of the 3 skies seeking help from God? This is the way I see people seeking God, is it just not another way people seek him?

You have described God’s existence nicely and filled in some of the gaps as to why we cannot see him. well written Linda.

    • Hi Peter,
Yes, looking to one of the 3 skies is a way to seek His help. Most importantly, we find him through the Holy Spirit. Regarding your question “Is the air is the enemy?”; what was meant to say is that the enemy flows everywhere. Scripture says that he never rests, comes to kill, steal and destroy and is the prince of this world. When sin entered the world, Satan took over. Once Jesus was crucified and rose on the 3rd day; leaving the Holy Spirit behind (only those who believe in Christ have the Holy Spirit); one can only defeat the enemy through the Holy Spirit.

As I am a Christian there is a passage that hit the nails on its head, Ways to see God is by the word in the bible – The truth is the word of God, faith – If you have faith as small as mustard seed you can tell to mountain go and to the sea, it will., prayers – ‘do not worry about anything instead pray about everything Thank God for all he has done and tell god what you need. then God’s spirit will fill us up that exceeds anything we understand. and the holy spirit – as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God. Yes, blessed are those with the pure heart they will see God. We see God by the people He uses to help us. We see God by His creation that inspires and refreshes us. We see it in the love of all those around you. It the love and giving o all good people. We see God not with our eyes but with our hearts and soul. What a wonderful topic. one of the best forme. let us all talk more about God than anything else. may God bless you even more.

Oh, this article really inspires me. Well, I left the church a few years ago because of trouble with people.

But I never left God in my mind. I think God is always with us only if we find him and notice him.

I think I have to read the bible again for having a conversation with him.

    Thanks for the inspiring article.
